On Wednesday May 13th, Mike Gallagher will be speaking in the Little Theater at 3:05 p.m.. Gallagher is a conservative radio talk show host based out of Irving, Texas.  His show can be heard daily on 560 AM (WIND).

Tony Peraica will be introducing Gallagher. The topic being addressed will be “Activism that Changes the World.”

Gallagher is coming to speak at RB in response to the community’s reaction to Bill Ayer’s appearance in February. Ayer’s presence caused an outbreak of controversy and community members strongly requested that an equivalent conservative speaker come to RB.

Gallagher has featured interviews with people such as John McCain, Dick Cheney, and Mitt Romney on his show. When important events happen, he often goes straight to the scene. He broadcasted live from the Empire State Building in the midst of the terrorists attacks on September 11th.

Talkers Magazine named Gallagher the 8th most listened-to radio talk show host in the country. Gallagher’s journey started in 1978 when he was a high school senior in Dayton, Ohio. His career took off from there and he has broadcasted from all parts of the country.
